Many players don't typically use the controls offered by the D-pad, some don't even know what the D-pad does! The D-pad is very useful, especially if you are a good tactician from watching real-life football. The D-pad can be used to make four tactical adjustments:
Abbreviation | Name | Action |
---|---|---|
OW | Opposite Wing Attack | Teammate(s) makes a run on the opposite wing than you are attacking on so you can play the ball to him wide open. |
DA | Defense Attack | Sends a defender up the field to add another number to the attack. |
TP | Team Press | Players on your team will quickly pressure the opposing team quickly and closely. |
OT | Offside Trap | The defensive line will push up towards the half-way line, sometimes on the half-way line. This causes players of the opposing team to be caught offside more often. |
